Science Driven by Unmet Needs
Despite major advances in orthopedic surgery, many patients undergoing total knee replacement continue to experience significant pain, inflammation, and delayed functional recovery. Current standard of care analgesia is primarily designed to reduce pain in the immediate post-operative period, but does little to address the underlying inflammation that can impair recovery in the following weeks and months.
At AIC, we are developing non-opioid, long-acting injectable therapies designed to address the biological drivers of post-surgical inflammation and improve both pain and function.
